Agro-Montiar was founded in 1993 in Montijo, Portugal, as an operator for fumigation and fire fighting services with aircrafts (Aerial Work Operator Certificate nº 09/93, issued by the Portuguese Civil Aviation General Directorate).

Later, in 2014, the company was acquired by Titan Group, changing its location and head office to Tondela (Portugal) and its base of operations to Viseu Aerodrome, Portugal. It becomes the first Portuguese company to operate the AT-802A FIREBOSS (Amphibious) which currently make up its entire fleet. In their first job with them they operated four of these aircraft for the Portuguese National Civil Protection Authority.
Agro-Montiar currently operates for the Portuguese Air Force in the service of the Portuguese Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, defending our forests and natural sites.
Agro Montiar is proud to have the most modern and youngest fleet of fire fighting aircraft in Europe, consisting of twelve amphibious FIREBOSS aircraft, which have more than proved their effectiveness. More than 10,000 flight hours endorse us as one of the most experienced operators with one of the largest AT-802 FIREBOSS fleets in Europe.
